The legal responsibility of ‘Chocbox’, ‘we’ and ‘us’, as referred to in this policy, falls to Chocbox Ltd. Chocbox is committed to protecting our customers’ privacy and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.

By using this website you accept and agree to be bound by our Terms & Conditions, the Privacy Statement, Returns & Refunds Policy and any other policies we may notify you of from time to time, which together constitute the entire agreement between us. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions and other policies affects your statutory rights, either as a consumer or in any other way.

The following Terms & Conditions apply to all orders which you, as the customer, may place using our website, Please read them carefully before placing your order and print a copy for future reference.

Your Account

You may register with us when purchasing items from this website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account – including your username and password – and for preventing unauthorised access to your account. You accept responsibility for all activities that occur in relation to your account or password, so please take all necessary precautions to ensure that your username and password are kept confidential and secure.

Please tell us immediately: if you believe that your username and/or password have become known to anyone else; or if they are being, or are likely to be, used in an unauthorised manner.

Please ensure the details you provide us with when you register for an account are correct and complete and inform us immediately of any changes to those details (eg change of name, email, contact phone number or postal address). You can access and update your details using the ‘My Account’ area of the website, which can be accessed via the bottom navigation bar, when viewed on a desktop or laptop computer, and elsewhere when viewed on tablets or mobile devices.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts, remove or edit content, or cancel orders at our discretion. If we do cancel an order, it will be without charge to you.

Product Packaging, Dimensions, Weights & Descriptions

We have made every effort to display the correct specifications, dimensions, weights and descriptions of the products we offer on this website. If you find any errors or inaccuracies, please tell us and we’ll correct them.

Please note that product images are for illustration purposes only. For example, the colours you see will depend on the resolution and colour settings of your monitor or mobile device. Very occasionally, manufacturers may vary the colours or style of the packaging, ribbons, etc, without telling us. By buying from this website you accept that this may be the case.

We have some ranges where packaging varies as a matter of course, for example Maison Pierre DD/MP08 gift-wrapped ballotins. Where we know that packaging may vary, we display the various finishes, which you can see when you view the individual product. However it is pot luck which finish you get. If you’re unhappy about this, we suggest choosing a different product.

Content & Intellectual Property Rights

The products and content displayed here at, of Chocbox and of its manufacturers, are protected by national and international intellectual property rights. The manufacturers we work with each have their own registered trademarks for their products and brands. This means you are not allowed to copy or reproduce images or edit them. However, where suggested you may create links to social media to share what you’ve discovered here with a wider audience. Any other reproduction or redistribution of the products and content seen on this website may result in civil and criminal penalties.

While we take every precaution to ensure our website is virus-free, it is your responsibility to protect yourself and your devices with your own up-to-date and complete virus-checking software.

By using this website you agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment or agency relationship exists between yourself and Chocbox. You will not express yourself as an employee, agent or representative of Chocbox and we are not liable for any representation, act or omission on your part.

The price of the goods is that specified on the Chocbox website, current at the time of ordering. All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate. Zero-rated items are marked clearly on a case-by-case basis.

Special offers are also well labelled on the website. Any offers signposted there will also give a countdown to the end of the offer.

We reserve the right to update prices on the website at any point, though the price you pay is always the price displayed on the website.

Payment for the goods is by credit card, debit card, PayPal or other secure online payment systems that we may introduce. Payment must be made online, via the methods offered during the checkout process.

NB: we do not accept payment details by phone or email, as these would be below the minimum level of security we insist on for Chocbox customers.

Receiving Your Purchases

To ensure you receive your goods in good time, we strongly advise arranging a safe place – eg, porch, back garden, etc – or a neighbour who will be willing to accept your goods, if you’re out when the delivery is attempted. However, if you choose to do this it is at your own risk. Couriers will usually take a photo as proof that they left the package in a safe place or with a neighbour. Any losses or damage occurring after that time would be your responsibility.

Chocbox reserves the right to cancel any order – or balance of order – for the delivery of chocolates or confectionery in the event that Chocbox or its nominated third-party delivery service is prevented or delayed from making delivery of the goods on the estimated date for delivery, due to ‘force majeure’ or other circumstances beyond Chocbox’s reasonable control, for example a prolonged period of very warm weather when chocolates could be damaged in transit, as well as the effects of pandemics, civil unrest, wars, floods, etc.

Cancelling Within The Cooling-Off Period

If you live in the UK your rights to cancel your online purchases from this website are covered by the ‘Consumer Contracts Regulations’ (2014). If you change your mind and wish to cancel and return the goods, these regulations give you 14 days (the ‘cooling-off’ period for online and distance purchases) – starting from the moment you paid for the goods and ending 14 days after you receive them. Within this time you must email or phone us to cancel. We will refund the full cost of the product plus the cost of standard delivery. You must pay for your own return postage, which we’ll refund, only if the product was damaged or faulty (see below).

This right applies to any item sold on the Chocbox website, provided it is unopened and still in its original packaging and undamaged by you.

Damaged Goods

If your goods were damaged or faulty when you received them, please contact us within 4 working days of receiving them and let us know. We will issue a refund and arrange for collection at our expense.
